Supervise Installation team to ensure customer’s satisfaction of the delivery and installation of office furniture by performing the following duties.

  • Must be willing and able to train installers to a Installer Level 3.

  • Be able to apply knowledge of familiar system’s installation techniques to non-familiar systems

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises 1 to 10 Installers.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include, training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.  Control tools and equipment assigned to their projects.  Maintain and assure accuracy of daily labor logs.  Attend job site safety meetings as required.  Convey to subs, temps and fellow associates bkm’s expected standards of conduct in dealing with each other and our customers.

Education and / or Experience:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and minimum three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Safety

Receive CPR/First Aid training and certification and stay current in that certification.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Automotive Requirements

This position also requires employee to drive back and forth to customer contacts, training, vendors, etc.  Position requires ownership/access to a reliable automobile.  Must have a valid California driver’s license and a clean driving record.  Must meet criteria to drive bkm OfficeWorks vehicles when necessary.
