bkm OfficeWorks announces new division: bkm HealthWorks

bkm OfficeWorks, one of San Diego county’s largest office furniture dealerships, has opened a new division called bkm HealthWorks, announced William Kuhnert, president.

bkm HealthWorks will provide interior furnishings specifically designed to meet the needs of Southern California’s healthcare industry, said Kuhnert. Also available will be some medical equipment, such as sphygmomanometers, otoscopes and opthalmascopes, along with medical furniture such as exam tables, exam lights and treatment chairs, he said.

Kuhnert said bkm HealthWorks staff will be capable of providing total furnishings solutions for a variety of healthcare environments, including administrative spaces, family areas, exam rooms, patient rooms, VIP suites, lab rooms, training rooms, hospital staff areas and community spaces for the public at large.

“We are the first company in Southern California to offer one-stop-shop, turnkey design and furnishings service to the healthcare community,” Kuhnert said. “We can create smart, efficient human healthcare environments which are designed for healing.”

Two years ago, Kuhnert, a 20-year employee with bkm, acquired San Diego’s bkm dealership from bkm founder and chairman Don Griesdorn, of East Hartford, Conn. Previously, Kuhnert was responsible for bkm operations for the state of California. In the past year, Kuhnert relocated bkm headquarters from Chesapeake Drive to Spectrum Center Boulevard in Kearny Mesa.
