One of San Diego County’s largest office furniture dealerships has changed owners.

William Kuhnert of Oceanside has announced he has purchased the bkm office furniture dealership territories for San Diego and Riverside counties and Tijuana, and renamed it bkm Office Works. Terms of the all-cash transaction were not disclosed.

The local bkm dealership, which has served San Diego County since 1990, sold more than $30 million in office furniture and services in San Diego County last year, according to Kuhnert, who will serve as president. For the past three years, Kuhnert served as CEO of Tustin-based bkm Total Office of California and was responsible for all bkm operations in California.

With 68 employees, bkm Office Works operates a 37,000-square-foot showroom on Chesapeake Drive in Kearny Mesa and a 77,000-square-foot warehouse in Rancho Bernardo.

bkm Office Works offers single-source, total-office solutions, including office design, furniture rental, furniture installation, refurbishing, reupholstery, cleaning and liquidation. Other services include asset storage and tracking, relocations and move management and floor covering sales and installation.
